Posting some mp3's with minimum daily drumistic requirement

Bruf is a great drummer.
[I also liked TB on UK's Danger Money when he replaced him ;=)]...

When i saw the CCEB for the 1st time [trio, no gtr] in '86 [just b4 the first release], Bruford was in the audience sitting beside the then mgr of the drum/perc dept of a popular local music store, checkin' it out [i thought i might've seen a little "sweat" glistening on his brow at 1 point, tho ;=)]...

Of what i've heard of him [BB] attempting swing, it's also stiff, but still sometimes valid ideas within it fr a technical standpoint...[but he still doesn't really "swing," man ;=)]...

He is well beyond NP in his vocab...amongst the many, I also dig his playing on Stv Hackett's Watcher of the Skies solo CD...& i revert back to the track that i always do, & beatH, for one, will usually back me up on this: Cinemashow, from Genesis' Seconds Out [live]...Bill pulls down some britches & gives a little spanking to both NP AND Phil on that one ;=) [& most of the other non-jazz-&-fusion influenced prog-rock drummers of the day, FTM]...

Newsflash -
Husband, again, is [still :=p] a GRREAT drummer....

BTW Fuse.... Just got a 1974 Genesis Live in Montreal Boot Leg alongside two tracks from a 1975 US Tour (2 CD's)... Phil's playing is solid, even more so on the 1975 tracks. It's funny cause between each songs, Peter Gabriel entertains the audience with little stories introducing the next songs... IN FRENCH!!!

I've borrowed Gabe's Secret World Live tour dvd from a family friend; it's a nice dvd...mostly the "poppier" PG stuff, but good nonetheless...Manu does a GREAT job on it [for not being a VC, that is [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img] - j/k, just kidding lol]...even takes a few tasty solos AWA some fills...he grooves tight, man....

To bring the Bruford/Peart debate full circle, Neil OBVIOUSLY was "influenced" by Bill's ride cymbal work, especially the tasty pattern he played on the Great Deciever off Starless and Bible Black.

It's Neil's signature ride pattern. That was a big deal back in the day to be able to play, with the busy BD pattern underneath...

Peter, it sounds like that was actually a boot of a line-up of Allan Holdsworth's group...

BR - NP himself has often given BB credit for being a huge infl on him...AWA, Cobham, Giles, Collins, C Palmer, A White, Buddy...& even Moon, N Olsson, & N Mason, BION...i'm sure i'm missing a few....;=)

I have another boot that is currently in SHN format that is really good from the same tour.

Well, let's see I think I have ten MB left...

I have a tune from that boot with Gary's solo...it's 17MB. DAMN, that sounds good...he's going nuts.
